Obscured by Clouds occurs as rock album by Pink Floyd based on their soundtrack for the French film La Vallée. A LP was released in the UK on June 3, 1972 on Harvest/EMI and then in the US on June 15 on Harvest/Capitol. A album reached #6 on the UK album stock & index stock and index charts and #46 on the America album charts(inside which it was certfied Gold per RIAA in March, 1994).
Around 1986, the album was freed in CD. The digitally re-down Video was freed around March, 1996 in the UK & August 1996 in the US.
A song Childhood's End is said to have been inspired by the Arthur C. Clarke novel of the same name.
Obscured By Clouds was a 1st Pink Floyd album to feature a VCS-3 synthesiser
